New York - Part Two

The last day of our trip, we went out to Commack to visit Chris and Sabrina. Tom had met Ryan when he was on the east coast for a bachelor party last October, but it was my first time. He'll be 2 in January - It was so fun having the boys meet and seeing what Cole will be like in a year.

Ryan wouldn't have anything to do with me the entire day, but gave Tom and Cole hugs within the first five minutes!

How far they've come since high school...

This was the one day the Long Island Railroad wasn't going where we needed it to, but luckily it all worked out so we could play, chat and even eat some pizza with Grandpa and Grandma Ostling. Hopefully the next visit is sooner than later - I have a feeling Cole and Ryan are going to be great friends.

New York - Part One

Back on another airplane! Chris and Rhoda got married on Saturday at Bubby's in Brooklyn. Such a cool location with a beautiful view of the Brooklyn Bridge - We couldn't help but extend our trip to catch up with friends, meet new additions and show Cole all the sights. Not to mention, take him on the subway and give him his first tastes of NY bagels and pizza!

Tessa - Yon & Ellen's little one

Such a cutie!! We're so grateful that Yon and Ellen opened their home to us. Not everyone would let a 10-month old crawl all around and take over their baby's nursery! We had such a great time with them and are so happy we finally got to meet Tessa.

Children's Museum NYC - Thursday afternoon

Eyeing Miss Emily - Matt & Julie are in trouble!

After the museum, we walked to a restaurant. Emily was so cute clapping and dancing at the table... She must've been worn out from the day because she fell asleep on Matt's chest after the pizza arrived. We just HAD to meet Emily, so we are so thankful they made the trek from Connecticut to see us for those few hours.

In front of Daddy's old apartment - East Village - Friday afternoon

Tessa all bundled up for our walk!

Rehearsal Dinner - Thai Restaurant - Friday evening

Maya! Dave and Sarah adopted her from Ethiopia and brought her home 6 weeks ago. We were so thrilled the timing worked out and we got to meet her!

Halloween Festival in Brooklyn - Saturday morning

Tessa, Tyler & Cole - A similar picture actually made the Brooklyn Eagle newspaper!

Wedding - Bubby's in Brooklyn - Saturday evening

Of course I don't have one good shot of the bride and groom... Rhoda looked AMAZING and I'm hoping since Tom was in the wedding we'll get a link to the professional shots!

Last day with Tessa... She left to go visit family in Baltimore and we were off to spend time with the Ostling's!

Sweet Home Chicago

Feeling homesick, I booked a last-minute flight home. Figured I might as well do it since Cole is still free! Yeah, well, I'll never fly alone again. He didn't make a peep on either flight, but the kid is a mover! My arms are still mad at me.

Meeting Lily

He LOVED Culver's mashed potatoes

Spending time with The McGinn's!

Pumpkin Patch

Fun with Grandpa

Bath time!

We had such a great time - I loved watching friends/family interact with Cole. Wish we could've made it a longer trip - Unfortunately with our anniversary and a pediatrician appointment that couldn't be rescheduled, it was a quick. Definitely making our way to Wisconsin next time!
