Cole Meets J&J

Uncle Justin and Aunt Jamie came to visit! We packed a lot of things into the weekend - Dinner at Fred's in Old Town, El Zarape, a beach day, a bbq and a Little Italy festival! So thankful they were able to come to San Diego and meet Cole. Last time we saw them, I was 6 months pregnant at Uncle Mike and Aunt Sarah's wedding - Clearly way too much time passed. Hopefully we'll get to Kansas City soon!

Stagecoach Festival - Year Three

Remember last year? When Grandma L was kind enough to come out and watch the little one so we could escape for 24 hours? This time it was just the girls- I gave Tom an instruction packet, crossed my fingers they'd both survive their first weekend alone, and hopped in the car. Freedom!!! Okay, so it wasn't that easy. A few tears were shed, but I knew it was good for me AND Cole. Fourth evening away in 16 months? Kind of needed - Also, Darius Rucker, Josh Turner, Rascal Flatts, Kenny Chesney, Rascal Flatts and Carrie Underwood were waiting!

We arrived in Palm Desert without any issues - Once there, we had some hiccups with parking and getting all of our camping gear to our site. It was hard not having our sherpas! Thank goodness for boxed sangria. It makes everything better.

Kenny closed out Saturday evening and he was fabulous. At one point, I looked around and everyone appeared to be wearing bathing suits. I was in a trench coat and jeans. Am I that old?!

This time around we all remembered to eat dinner and drink a lot of water, so getting up and staying for Sunday's shows wasn't a problem. It's the little things.
