Safety First

While Grandma was here, she bought Cole a scooter and helmet for Easter. The helmet? Meant for five year old children. Knew he had a big head, but not THAT big! Cole wasn't a fan at first, so we dug up our helmets in the garage. Several times a day we'd hear 'Dada, helmet. Mama, helmet. Dole, helmet' and we were to put them on - Nothing like wearing them in the car and around the house for a week to make Tom and I feel REAL cool. He still wasn't sure until an episode of Wubbzy came on and he was wearing one. All our pep talks... All those moments we sat on the couch wearing ours... Wubbzy appeared for two seconds and it was decided helmets are awesome.

Yesterday we practiced on our patio, then hit the mean streets.

St. Patrick's Day

Rain didn't stop us from walking to Balboa Park for the St. Patrick's Day parade - It was pretty cold, but we had promised fire trucks all week and we try to never go back on a promise. Cole didn't seem to mind the weather and if anything, thought all the puddles were an amazing addition to an already fun event.







Grandma was in town and had to experience cold, rainy San Diego while it was 80 in Illinois. We kept her busy with trips to JW Tumbles, Pigtails & Crewcuts, Toys-R-Us and playgrounds. She may have watched an episode (or 90) of Wubbzy as well...

Happy Birthday, Avery!

On Saturday we went to Avery's house for her birthday party. It was the cutest thing watching her reaction when the doors went up!













Tom and Jen had the best set-up in town - A ball pit, bikes, bubbles, balloons... This kid certainly had a fabulous time!
