USC vs. Boulder

We were so excited when we heard Makayala would be playing close to San Diego - Before the game, we stopped at Griffith Park. It's the 'Central Park of L.A' with a lot of activities for kids and a ton of trails. Our luck, it started pouring on the way up. It was only drizzling when we got to the first train ride, so we hopped on. So happy we did - It was really cute and Cole loved it. The pony rides and carousel were closed so we got back in the car and went to the Travel Museum a few minutes away - Absolutely perfect for Cole but it was all outdoors and the rain started coming down hard. Luckily some areas were covered (including this train ride) but we didn't stay as long as we planned. Knowing this place exists, we'll definitely use it to break up future trips to Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo!

Two Superfans: Hayden kept clapping, raising her arms and yelling "Touchdown!" and after Uncle Brett caught Cole a mini-ball and all he wanted to do was play like "the girls."

We're so proud of Makayla and are so excited their season isn't over yet - Off to the NCAA Tournament!!

Happy Thanksgiving

I am thankful for many things but especially my two healthy children, our amazing circle of family and friends, and that I didn't harm any of my loved ones with my first Thanksgiving meal.

Start 'Em Young

Yesterday we volunteered to clean up a local beach with Tom's company. We joined forces with Evan and Mason, and got to work. Kids did awesome for about an hour, but then realized they were at a beach and there were hills to climb. We walked over to the nearby playground, let the kids play and searched that sand for trash.

Hopefully seeing us out there got people motivated to clean up after themselves or do their part one day!

29. Again!

I've had quite the birthday week! Wednesday evening started off with a manicure/pedicure with Sarah - Afterwards we walked to a restaurant and Robin, Jen and Traci were sitting there. Such an incredible surprise. I may still be in shock! Thursday the Welch's arrived - It was so great seeing the kids running and playing again. And yesterday... It was perfect - A fun day with the kiddos, flowers, and dinner in Old Town. I was thrilled with the hour of pampering and everything else was beyond what I hoped for. I'm a lucky girl.
