Look What We Found

We thought Cole was joking when he yelled, "Hot dog car!" from the backseat. We hurried to the next on ramp and nearly gave up until we spotted it in Point Loma - We lost it at a light... Did a couple u-turns... And then we pretty much stalked it until it parked.

Cole was thrilled and that made it totally worth the chase.
Hayden slept the entire time.

We met Cole's buddy at an indoor playground today - I was a bit worried about Hayden but she managed to go up and down by herself once I showed her the way.

Not going down... UP! The little booger had taken off her socks to make it easier. She realized I couldn't reach her, smirked and continued up to the top. She slid down with a huge grin, and I immediately gathered our things knowing how her little mind works - TROUBLE!

Presidents' Day

They are obsessed with the goats in "timeout" - They'd seriously stand there all day if we let them!

Houston, We Have a Problem

We met up with Uncle Mike, Aunt Sarah and Emerson today and tried to launch Cole's new rockets - Unfortunately, we didn't realize it wasn't a lighter we needed but a screwdriver for the battery pack! Pinecones and a nearby playground were the perfect distraction. Next weekend!

Happy Valentine's Day

After presents, Tom had us close our eyes while he hid foam hearts around the house - Once we found them all, we got prizes. It was a super cute idea and Cole has asked to play it over and over again. Some may consider Valentine's Day a Hallmark holiday but I'm a fan. Doesn't have to be crazy or extravagant - Hours at the playground, $6 presents and a simple game were all these two needed to feel extra special today!

New Neighbor

We're not quite sure why she picked a plant right near the walkway but hopefully her two little eggs hatch quickly so they can be on their way - I am not a fan of birds (yes, even teeny ones!) and can only avoid the laundry room for so long!

Padres FanFest

We went downtown to Petco Park yesterday - Face painting, bounce house fun and a hot pretzel were nothing compared to the trolley ride there and back.

The New Coco Chanels

Sarah and I recently celebrated her birthday at Tijon, a boutique parfumerie in La Jolla. We had a great time learning about basic oil mixing and creating our custom perfumes!
