I was worried there would be some resistance this morning, but he was up early and excited to go back to school!

When I picked him up, he was wearing a new necklace with a surprise inside.

My friend Andrea invited the girls and I over to swim this morning. It was the perfect distraction - I did okay but definitely counted down the minutes until I could hear how Cole's first day went.













Tom and I walked in his classroom at 4pm and he came running with tears streaming down his face. He grabbed my leg and wouldn't let go. I finally got it out of him that it was a very long day and he missed me. He's used to asking me for snacks, water or anything else he needs and he was overwhelmed with being away from us for seven hours. Broke my heart - Fortunately Italian ice fixes everything.

First Day of Kindergarten

Cole has been SO excited to start the school year. Some kids were struggling to say good-bye but he sat nicely on the mat, smiled and waved!

Sutton is smothered with hugs and kisses on a daily basis but for some reason, it's only fine when Cole does it...

Pinterest Mom

Our neighbors invite us to their son's birthday party every year and this is the first time we've been able to go. We couldn't believe the set-up and wished we'd been able to make it to all the others! The theme was Bob's Burgers - The decorations included a backdrop and cardboard cutouts... The mom and her two older boys were dressed as characters from the show... There was at least 25 different condiments to put on our burgers... Cupcakes shaped like burgers with sugar cookie fries... She did all this with a newborn. Amazing. Guess who won't be invited to our next event?!
