Seven Months

Is it seriously almost August?! With the move, getting organized and visitors, July has come and gone. Good thing is it really hasn't felt like summer just yet. San Diego has been cloudy and cold, so hopefully the sun will start shining soon and we'll get some beach days and relaxing moments in before Labor Day arrives!

A few milestones for the month:

  • 1st tooth finally popped up - 7/19
  • Rolled over - 7/22
  • Held my hand and stood up from sitting position - 7/24
  • Pretty sure he says 'Daddy' now.
  • Sounds like the Fonz - 'Heyyy.' We love when he says 'Heyyy Dah Deee.'
  • New nickname - Godzilla. He grunts and tries to destroy everything in his path.
  • Mom's kitchen is closed - He very much prefers jars from the grocery store! Sad face.
  • Back to original formula... Had some diaper issues, and it's not worth it. Will pay $1 million a month if that's what makes his tummy feel 100%.

Getting a nice shot is becoming more of a problem...

His life is soooo rough.

Lundquist-Zanetti Family Trip to Arizona

Bags were packed... Minivan was rented... And off we went!

Nothing like traveling through the desert - Disgusting truck stops with no other options... Nearly melting from having to walk 30 feet from our stylin' ride to the entrance of the only fast food joint for miles... (The locals consider it dry heat, but they're asinine. 114 degrees is freaking hot no matter how 'dry' 'it is - May we one day get the pleasure of visiting again, Needles!) And let's not forget the fact it takes NINE hours to get to Flagstaff not SIX like GoogleMaps stated it would...

Monday, July 19th - Sedona

Tuesday, July 20th - Flagstaff

That little boy was the cutest - He played with Cole the entire time we were there!

Wednesday, July 21st - Back to San Diego!

Short stay, but I'm so glad we made the trip. Sedona was absolutely gorgeous and worth the long drive. Cole did so well in the car, we may just have to plan another adventure soon!

Getting Settled...

Well, it's official. We cleared out our old place! A few tears were shed on the last walk down those stairs, but I think we will be very happy here.

The move had some bumps, but that's the Tom-Erica way. Let's see...

  • No 3-prong outlets in the living room = No surge protectors = No television or computer
  • No hot water
  • Vibe died - Revived with new battery, courtesy of my lovely husband
  • Cable issues
  • Windshield fix for Civic (stupid pebble... we hate you)
  • $500 worth of repairs for Vibe (clicking issue in dash/new tires)
  • Civic died - And rather than die in the driveway like the Vibe, it chose the middle of a car wash. Workers had to push it out and jump it so Tom could get back to work!
  • To top it off, my work laptop has vowed to never befriend our new internet service.

Landlord, plumber, cable company, electrician and mechanic were on speed-dial for a bit, but we're hopefully past the drama.

New place though? Awesome. I could do without the bumblebee bathroom and old school kitchen, but it is probably twice the size of our old place (not hard to do) and has TONS of closet space.

New soccer ball purchased solely for the tags - I think he likes it

First 5 minutes wearing this shirt... The flow can't be stopped!
