Love at Cuvee

When I found out my cousin Cody was getting married over Labor Day, I quickly did the math - Our little one would only be two months old.  All I could do was book flights and hope we would be able to make it to Milwaukee - I was thrilled when September rolled around and my wish came true.

Cody and I grew up in different states but we saw each other a couple times a year - I'll always remember playing in Grandma's yard with our cousins, every weekend before Christmas, our families going to the Sears Tower, the time we went to the Jewel concert just to see her opening act (Rusted Root), the big Lundquist reunion in Kansas, and his visit to Drake. One year my parents let me bring him on a trip to Branson, Missouri.  One of the first days we climbed up a steep cliff to jump into the lake.  Once I saw how high we were I remembered swimming for me consisted of the doggy paddle and holding my nose.  I turned back but soon realized the only way down was to jump - Thank goodness he was with me otherwise I'd probably still be up there.

And I'll never forget when he missed our Grandma's funeral to stand beside me when I married Tom.  The best little brother an only child could ask for.

A perfect evening for a perfect couple.
