Happy Halloween!

This Halloween season, Cole was more aware and we had to leave several "scary party stores" due to skeletons, witches and masks.  We tried to make these outings fun, showed them they weren't real and tried various words to get our point across.  His obsession with pumpkins and finding the perfect firefighter costume helped him realize it's a fun month and soon everything that made him anxious would get a "It not scary, it fake!"

Wednesday:  Avery's neighborhood was perfect for his first time trick-or-treating.  He couldn't believe three simple words got him candy.  "Let's go another house!" and "More Halloween kids!" were pretty much all he said for one hour.  We thought he'd be disappointed when we went back to Avery's house but handing out candy was just as exciting.  So thankful there weren't any scary moments for our firefighter and he had such a great time!
