Park Hoppers

Disneyland was a huge success. The kids didn't know we were going and it was so cute when they noticed all the buses/signs when we were driving in.  Cole figured out where we were, while Hayden was convinced we were at a Bubble Guppies park.  Of course.

We met Minnie shortly after we entered - Watching Hayden meet her idol was incredible.  She was so sweet kissing her nose and handing her doll to her! We made our way to Pinocchio thinking it would be a great first ride.  Ummmm, no.  It was dark...  The things they pulled from the story were terrifying... Hayden was a mess.  So, we did what any family does and scrambled trying to find a way to get her to rally.  How about the ride across the way - It's a toad's fun adventure!  Look, no line! Ummmm, no.  HORRIBLE.  Our dear daughter had a magical moment not even thirty minutes ago and "It too dark." "No more." and "Too scary!" were all we could understand through the tears.

Parental fail.

Fortunately Dumbo, the carousel and several other characters saved the day. Cole wouldn't go near the characters and wanted to ride every ride. Two, three times. Luckily Tuesdays in September allow that!

The parade capped off our perfect day (Cole clearly would've skipped it, but Hayden was in heaven). We made our way back to the hotel, ate some pizza and crashed.  Poor Tom got up at 5am to head back to San Diego for work, while we slowly made our way - Lunch, a new 55+ community in Menifee and the Safari Park! We were exhausted but Cole really wanted Grandpa and Grandma to see it and there was no way we were going to let him be disappointed...
