Mother's Day

I woke up to a quiet house, but it wasn't long before I heard the stomping feet coming up the stairs. I wasn't sure if I was supposed to be sleeping, but they certainly weren't quiet when they came in the front door and busting into our room. Donuts! Flowers! Cards! Strawberries! Chocolate! Sour Gummies! Ice cream with chocolate syrup AND 'sprinklers!' So many words at once... Poor Tom probably wanted to keep some element of surprise but it was adorable and their excitement was better than all my goodies.

After breakfast we went up to the Carlsbad Flower Fields.

It was our first visit and we had a wonderful time exploring. I'm so thankful for my little family.
