No Longer a Baby

A few nights ago Hayden told us she was going to sleep in her bed. After months and months of falling asleep in the family room, we were in a state of shock and couldn't process the new information - Potty trained AND going to bed nicely? Who is this girl?

Kind of sad these days are over:

Indecent Exposure

Hayden has been doing really well with potty-training. It's exhausting due to all the false alarms, but we really can't complain - She's barely had any accidents and is great at telling us she needs to go.

The kids love malls, so today I decided I'd take them to Fashion Valley for lunch.  It's mostly high-end stores, but it's close to the house and has a few shops they love (Disney and Lego).

We went potty before we left.

We stopped at the bathroom once we arrived (no joke, 8 minutes have passed).

We got pizza at the food court, and sat down.

Three bites in Hayden yells she has to go potty and before I can put my slice down, her pants and underwear are at her ankles.

I can only imagine my face (and those enjoying their lunches) as I pulled her pants up.

We RAN to the bathroom (you know, the one we were in 4 minutes ago...).

Nothing. Yet another false alarm.

Only me.

Mornings with My Children

My eyes open to a face three inches from mine.

5:45am - I need a show.

Go back to bed.

5:52am - I want a mint waffle.

Can we discuss this in an hour?

6am - I need a show.

Fine... Chuggington and waffles, enjoy. I am going back to bed. Must. Get. Sleep.

6:03am - I don't want Chuggington. Is there a new Blaze?

Done. Please let me sleep.

6:07am - I need another waffle.

Okay, here it is. Please let me sleep.

6:15am - I have to go potty.

Then go.

6:20am - There's a Mustang outside!!

6:27am - I need water.

It's on the table.

6:35am - Hayden is awake.

Yes, as is the entire neighborhood. Your lovely siren noises are much appreciated.

6:36am - I don't like Blaze. I want Bubble Guppies.

6:39am - I need hot toast.

6:42am - Not THIS Bubble Guppies.

6:48am - Cole took MY blanket!

6:53am - I need more hot toast.

7am - I can't find Big Baby.

7:04am - I need water.

7:08am - Can we go to the playground?

Going on two weeks of this nonsense...

Monster Jam

Beautiful morning at Balboa Park.

After a nap, it was Monster Jam time!!

From the trolley ride to/from Petco... To the crazy races and tricks... Date night was a success! It was great hearing all the stories and seeing Cole's happiness in Tom's photos.

While the boys were off having fun, Hayden and I walked for ice cream.

She was still upset she was left behind and didn't consider ice cream a "date." She kept asking why we weren't going to Disney on Ice (again), so we went home and I gave her a pedicure while she watched Little Charmers.

We should've named her Princess.
