Humidity is EVIL

When I booked our flights to Chicago, I didn't really think about what the weather would be like mid-July. I was excited for a weekend in Wisconsin, Melanie/Gavin's graduation party, the Jensen Family picnic and family fun in between. When I walked out the doors of Midway on Wednesday, I suddenly remembered all about gross-sticky-2-showers-a-day humidity, something San Diego 70 degree weather tends to make you forget. Holy sopping t-shirt, Batman! Next 10 days were going to be interesting!

Thursdsay: We stayed cool all morning by standing indoors and then risked our lives by stepping outdoors for lunch. Off to Choo-Choo Johnny's! Trains go around the ceiling and bring you your food... Cole loved it. The pointing and constant "oo-oo" tipped us off :)

Once the sun started going down, we let Cole brave the heat so he could cruise in his new ride.

Friday: Off to Wisconsin!

First Stop - Waunakee to see Aurelia and meet Zygris. Such cuties!

Prepping the snacks - Crackers, fruit and cupcakes!

Final stop - Pizza with the fam! We took over the top floor of the restaurant and my lovely child showed everyone what sitting in a car for 4 hours and no nap does to him. CRAZY.

I love how our family is ever-expanding... So many cute new faces!

Group Shot

What a good looking group of kids! Too bad mine found sitting on a step for two seconds pure torture...
