Guy Time

Date night went so well, we decided Cole and Daddy should have a boys' night morning at The U.S.S. Midway.

My adorable date and I walked around downtown.

Two hours later, we met at the Waterfront Park's grand opening celebration - We had no idea there would be a mini Touch-a-Truck!

After we made our way through, I told Tom to go enjoy some IPAs at the beer/wine garden while we went to the playground.

We went to the teeter-totter and I held Hayden while Cole had fun with a new buddy. Without any warning, the boy's dad took him off and Cole went flying forward. I did my best to catch him (and hold on to Hayden) when he came slamming down. The jackass didn't even apologize and merely walked away as blood gushed and I tried to stop Cole's tears, keep Hayden from running away and assess everything. Thank goodness Hayden understood what was going on and I found some napkins in our backpack. We walked to a First Aid booth and it was a relief to hear his nose wasn't broken. A sweet nurse also handed me a wipe to clean my neck... Apparently there was a bit of blood on it!

The craft area was nearby so we stopped to forget our troubles and decorate little boxes with ladybugs inside.

The crazy day fortunately ended on a great note and we went home to release our ladybugs in our neighbor's garden!
