Happy 3rd Birthday, Hayden!

Dearest Hayden,

We did it. We got through the 'Terrible Two's.' Best part is they weren't that bad.  Sure, there was a lot of whining and crying but that's to be expected. I will always hold in my heart the fond memories from the past year - You carrying Big Baby everywhere we went... Twirling around the playroom belting out your version of 'Let it Go'... Taking you to the playground, having you just sit by me and ask for snacks the entire time... Squealing with delight each time you jumped a wave at the beach... Your love and excitement for everything - big and small... Wearing a princess dress/mismatched shoes and carrying a paper bag purse clearly feeling like the most beautiful girl in the world...

Not to mention potty training, starting swim lessons, finally getting off the floor and sleeping in your bed, getting over your fear of other kids' tears, and becoming a big sister. *SIGH* You're not a baby anymore.

Bright, beautiful, chatty, polite, funny and sweet... You make us so proud. Your sassy side is coming out more and more... This year is going to be interesting! Three was a tough year for Cole and I imagine we will have our battles - With Cole going to kindergarten we're going to have a lot more time to figure things out. You'll miss him terribly, but I hope to fill your time with hugs, attention, art, dance classes, and playgrounds snacks. I also hope to find a doctor that can freeze you at this age.

Happy Golden Birthday, Monkey. I wish you every joy and happiness. Always.

Love you to the moon and back,
Mommy
