30 Weeks

From thebump.com:

Your baby's the size of a cucumber!
Your 15.2- to 16.7-inch, 2.5 to 3.8-pound baby continues to grow and is strong enough to grasp a finger.

Awesome.  Not so awesome?  The dreaded pregnancy-heartburn has returned.  I read up on it and found the following:

Avoid food and beverages that cause you gastrointestinal distress. The usual suspects are carbonated drinks; alcohol (which you should avoid anyway during pregnancy); caffeine; chocolate; acidic foods like citrus fruits and juices, tomatoes, mustard, and vinegar; and spicy, highly seasoned, fried, or fatty foods.

Right.  I've given up all carbonated drinks, alcohol and caffeine the day I found out and there's no way I'd ever touch mustard or vinegar.  Give up citrus fruits?  Fine.  Only one I eat is oranges!  But the rest?!  These "experts" are insane.  Spend the next ten weeks without Double-Stuffed Oreos and the new Breyers Oreo Cookies & Mint?  I've been waiting for years for someone (anyone!) to combine my two favorite flavors!  I live on spaghetti, pizza and chips/salsa...  We eat Asian food every weekend and there's always globs of chili garlic sauce on my plate...  And who doesn't love fried appetizers and ranch?!

Dr. VDH told me yesterday that I gained 4lbs in two weeks.  So... Maybe it's for the best I scratch the cookies and ice cream off the grocery list...  Only for the sake of waddling, of course.  My heartburn issues are obviously for some reason other than my fantastic diet.
